I don’t have much of a horror story to tell. I hold a BS of Science in Cybersecurity Policy and Management with University of Maryland Global Campus but I’m mostly known for my illustrations that are seemingly dark, empowering, emotional, and have a hint of violence.
I was born and raised in Vietnam, moved and lived on a US military base in Seoul, Korea, and arrived in Hawaii in 2016. While in the far east, I was lucky to have been able to part-take in STEM and art programs in Tokyo and Tsukuba City, Japan.
I developed an underlining depression from witnessing setbacks and distresses in my family and a toxic relationship. This had brought me to the brink of distorted thoughts and suicidal attempts at times. My art was my saving grace.
I’ve been blessed with great friends and help from my therapist. Now it’s time to give back and create. Currently, I am on a journey to further improve my creativity while balancing my day job and studying to get higher Cybersecurity certifications. I’ve also been occupying myself with fundraising to help friends with their medical bills via my art and of course, nurturing more connections among people via stories telling and art in 101 Tales.
